Drunk Ocala woman allegedly attacks boyfriend with wrench, screwdriver

Drunk Ocala woman allegedly attacks boyfriend with wrench, screwdriver

An intoxicated Ocala woman was arrested on an aggravated battery charge after she allegedly struck her boyfriend with a wrench and stabbed him with a screwdriver inside their home.

On Sunday, August 24, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived at a local residence and made contact with a woman, DSC, who appeared to be “greatly intoxicated,” according to the arrest report.

C told the deputy that her boyfriend, referred to in the report as the victim, had “choked her for 30 minutes straight” during a physical altercation. The incident allegedly began with an argument over a phone call she received from her ex-boyfriend.

While speaking with the deputy, C alleged that the victim had grabbed her by the throat and dragged her towards the bathroom. She claimed that she began kicking C, and she managed to exit the home and contact law enforcement shortly after he “let her go.”

In the report, the deputy noted that Cl had a laceration on her forehead that was slightly bleeding, and redness was also observed on her chest. The deputy further stated in the report that paramedics examined C at the scene and determined that there were “no signs of strangulation.”

The victim was still on the phone with law enforcement when several MCSO deputies made contact with him. He advised that his girlfriend, C, was “on the phone with another [man]” when he arrived home at around 10 p.m., which prompted him to “call another [woman].”

According to the victim’s statement, an argument with C ensued, and she allegedly started punching him inside their home. He stated that he “went into a fetal position” on a couch in the living room, and C allegedly grabbed a wrench and began striking him on the head with it.

C then allegedly stabbed him several times in his left abdomen with a screwdriver. The incident then came to an end when C exited the home.

The report stated that a screwdriver was found on the floor inside the living room, and a wrench was located nearby on a counter.

Additionally, a deputy noted in the report that the victim had an audio recording of the incident. On that recording, the victim asked C to “stop hitting [him]” while he was clearly being struck by an object, and he “yell(ed) in pain” moments before the recording ended, according to the report.

The victim had multiple injuries that were described in the report, included several red scratch marks and a knot on the back of his head, scratch marks and blood on his left ear, several scratch marks on his forehead, a scratch mark and blood below his right eye, scratch marks and blood that ran down from his right ear to his chin, and three stab marks on his abdomen that “perfectly resembled” a screwdriver.

After being read her Miranda rights, C claimed that the victim’s injuries were self-inflicted. She was placed under arrest and transported to Marion County Jail, where she is currently being held on a $25,000 bond. She is being charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

A court date for C has not been scheduled yet, according to jail records.
