A dryer fire prompted an emergency response Tuesday evening at a home on Marcus Street, according to Charlotte County Fire & EMS.
Crews were dispatched at 7:46 p.m. and arrived to find an active fire inside the dryer. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and prevented the fire from spreading further.
All residents had evacuated the home before responders arrived, officials said.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
