E-bike rider critically injured during crash in Altamonte Springs, police say

One person was critically injured in a crash involving a vehicle and an e-bike on Thursday on State Road 434 in Altamonte Springs, according to police.

Northbound SR-434 is closed between Hillview Drive and Gateway Drive as crews respond to the crash.

Officials said the closure is expected to last until at least 10 on Thursday morning.

The injured person was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities have not released information on whether the injured individual was in the vehicle or on the e-bike.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area. Eden Park Road or Wymore Road can be used as detours.
