A 35-year-old Edgewater man was killed on Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a power pole, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the single-vehicle crash happened on the Interstate 95 southbound entrance ramp from State Road 44 around 6:50 p.m.
According to a crash report, the man was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle east on the Interstate 95 entrance ramp from State Road 44 at mile marker 249.
Troopers said the driver failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and ran off of the roadway left before striking a power pole, which caused the man to fall from the bike.
The driver was taken to Halifax Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to the FHP.
The crash remains under investigation.
