Elderly woman dies days after crashing into garbage truck, 2 mailboxes

An elderly woman has died weeks after crashing into the back of a garbage truck in Palm Beach County.

According to a crash report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, G, 92, died Tuesday from injuries she sustained in the July 15 crash.

The crash report says G was driving a Kia Soul on Rose Hill Drive when she struck the rear of a garbage truck.

The collision caused her vehicle to strike two mailboxes, a garbage can, a shrub and the garbage truck’s left rear bumper, according to the crash report.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue transported G to Delray Medical Center for treatment. She was pronounced dead at 12:04 a.m.
