An Escambia County hotel was evacuated Thursday afternoon after a fire.
Just before noon, Escambia County Fire Rescue responded to the Courtyard by Mariott Hotel on West Nine Mile Road near I-10.
Smoke was reported in a 5th floor room. Firefighters found a cord pinched under a microwave had caught fire.
The fire was quickly put out and no one was hurt.
