A Pensacola man accused of shooting another man and stealing his truck was arrested on Tuesday, according to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
32-year-old Roderick Maurice Rivers was arrested after an incident on June 17.
Rivers’s arrest report said deputies were called to Baptist Hospital for a report of a victim with a gunshot wound.
Deputies spoke with the victim, who said Rivers had taken his vehicle without permission. When the victim went to confront Rivers, an argument allegedly ensued.
Following the argument, Rivers allegedly shot the victim in the stomach, the report said.
Rivers was arrested and charged with felony vehicle theft and felony attempted homicide.
He is being held without bond, according to the Escambia County jail log.
