Cape Coral crews responded to a house fire along Redfish Cove Drive in Burnt Store Marina on Monday morning.

According to the Cape Coral Fire Department, the fire happened at approximately 3:30 a.m., and three people were home at the time but were able to get out safely.

Fire officials said the fire was contained to the garage, but there was smoke damage throughout the home. A building inspector red-tagged it, which means the home was deemed uninhabitable.

The CCFD said the Red Cross is assisting the family, and the cause of the blaze was ruled accidental, originating from a golf cart in the garage.
