TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A fatal crash is causing delays on a popular Tampa highway Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a crash involving a motorcyclist and a truck occurred around 12:58 p.m. on Dale Mabry Highway, just south of Waters Avenue.

Officials said a 25-year-old New Jersey man on a Suzuki motorcycle was traveling southbound on Dale Mabry Highway.

At the same time, a 59-year-old Tampa man, along with his 52-year-old passenger in a Toyota pickup truck, was traveling northbound on Dale Mabry, when the driver went to make a left turn into the entrance of a Walmart.

The driver entered the direct path of the motorcyclist and struck the man.
