Fatal crash investigated along I-95 in Volusia County

A fatal crash Thursday morning has prompted the closure of an I-95 lane in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The wreck happened on southbound I-95 near County Road 4009 in the Port Orange area.

The FHP said a car crashed into some trees along the interstate, but no other details have been released.

The right lane of southbound I-95 will be closed intermittently during an investigation, troopers said.
