Fatal hit-and-run in Lehigh Acres leaves pedestrian dead

A 66-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run incident on Greenbriar Boulevard in Lehigh Acres Saturday night.

Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 8:30 p.m.

 A pickup truck, possibly a white Toyota Tundra from 2014 to 2021, struck the woman as she walked along the north edge of the road, according to FHP.

The vehicle is accused of taking off from the scene after the crash, leaving the pedestrian dead.
