A domestic disturbance in Jupiter resulted in a father shooting his adult son during an argument, leaving the son taken to a local hospital.
Jupiter police said they were called to Town Hall Avenue around 8 a.m. for a domestic disturbance with shots fired. When they arrived, they found an adult man in his 30s with a gunshot wound. Officers began treating the victim before Palm Beach Fire Rescue arrived, and the victim was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in stable condition.
It’s still unclear what the father and son were arguing about, but police said three people were home when it happened, and everyone stayed on the scene. The chief also said it’s their understanding the son was living at the home when the shooting happened.
As of now, no one is in custody, but there’s no danger to the public. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to find out more about what happened inside the home.
