A FedEx semi pulling double trailers crashed into a building early Saturday in Edgewood in Orange County, according to police.

The Edgewood Police Department said the semi was heading north on Orange Avenue before 3 a.m. when it went off the road, onto the sidewalk and crashed into Taino’s Bakery in Water’s Edge Shopping Center.

The business was not open at the time of the crash.

According to police, the semi driver had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

A spokesperson for Taino’s Bakery said it would aim to reopen in three to four months because of the structural damage and needed permits.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
