A woman is dead after her vehicle overturned during a crash in Marion County on Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the incident occurred when a sedan traveled directly into the path of an SUV and collided while attempting to make a left turn onto SW 110th Avenue.

This resulted in the SUV traveling off the road and overturning. The passenger, identified as a 69-year-old woman, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene by the Marion County Fire Rescue.

The driver, identified as a 74-year-old man, is currently in critical condition.
