A person was killed after a hit-and-run Friday morning in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian-vehicle collision occurred on State Road 423 (Lee Road) near the Adanson Street intersection, according to troopers.

FHP said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver, an 84-year-old woman, was arrested and booked into Orange County jail with upgraded charges pending, officials said.
