FHP: 18-year-old girl killed in head-on crash in Santa Rosa County at Hurricane Lake Road

An 18-year-old Baker girl is dead following a head-on crash into a tractor trailer in Santa Rosa County on Monday afternoon.

Florida Highway Patrol say the crash happened in the Munson area at 1:30 p.m. on Highway 4 at Hurricane Lake Road.

According to troopers, a 56-year-old Milton was driving the tractor trailer. He suffered minor injuries.

Traffic on Highway 4 at Hurricane Lake Road is closed off as a result of the accident.

“The road will be closed for an undetermined amount of time while the Florida Highway Patrol completes its investigation,” according to officials.

All travelers in that area should be mindful of delayed traffic. Officials say to take another route for now until the roadway is back open.
