FHP: 2 Lake City men killed in Hamilton County crash

Two Lake City men are dead after a crash in Hamilton County Saturday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said that a pickup truck, which was towing a boat trailer, was traveling south on County Road 135 at the time of the crash.

The pickup truck was negotiating a curve in the road and after completing the curve, the pickup truck lost traction with the roadway, the crash report states.

The pickup truck traveled onto the grass shoulder before overturning.

The driver, a 76-year-old man, and a passenger, a 55-year-old man, were both killed in the crash.

Another passenger, a 51-year-old Lake City man, survived the crash without any injuries, according to FHP.

FHP is investigating the crash.
