FHP: 56-year-old man riding motorcycle killed on US-1 in Brevard County

A 56-year-old man was killed early Tuesday morning riding a motorcycle in Grant Valkaria, FHP says.

It happened just before 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday on the northbound side of US-1 just north of First Street.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involved the 56-year-old man on the motorcycle and another man driving a Ford Ranger with a trailer.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead, and the other driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

So far, FHP hasn’t said how the crash happened.

US-1 is blocked north of First Street as of 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

The crash is under investigation.
