FHP: Driver killed in Eustis crash.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers shut down a road in Eustis because of a deadly single-vehicle crash.

Troopers say the crash happened around 5:12 a.m. Saturday morning on County Road 439 south of Dairy Road.

They said a Nissan Versa heading north in CR-439 ran off the roadway to the left and crashed into a tree.

The 27-year-old Umatilla man driving the car was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

FHP said he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Troopers are still investigating what may have led up to the crash.
