One person is dead following an accident at a Jackson County landfill on Monday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, it happened at the Waste Management Springhill Landfill.
Troopers said after arriving at the landfill, the driver was negotiating a curve leading to the landfill and failed to do so, traveling off the road.
The truck reportedly hit an embankment on the backside of the ravine before it hit a tree.
The crash is under investigation.
