A 52-year-old Pensacola man is critically injured after being hit while walking across Massachusetts Avenue “improperly,” according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened Wednesday around 7 p.m.

FHP says a 28-year-old Pensacola woman was traveling east on Massachusetts in her SUV when she hit the 52-year-old man, who attempted to cross the road improperly.

The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
