On Saturday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to an accident, that led to one dead in Calhoun County.
Authorities said the incident involved a 37-year-old driver from Lake Worth and a 26-year-old driver from Bristol.
At about 3:30 a.m., authorities said a pickup truck was traveling east on State Road 20 and crossed over the center line. A sports utility vehicle was traveling westbound, causing the truck to hit the front of the car, according to FHP. The truck came to its final rest on the south shoulder and the car ended up on the north shoulder, FHP officials said.
The driver from Lake Worth succumbed to their injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain any injuries.
