A South Florida Uber driver was arrested on Monday on allegations of sexual misconduct with a passenger.
According to an arrest report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the victim ordered an Uber ride from a friend’s house, and she was picked up by the suspect, identified as 35-year-old YR.
While in the suspect’s vehicle, the report states the victim asked to use a phone charger, and R asked her to get into the front seat in order to use it.
After she was in the front seat, R began to touch and try to kiss the victim, troopers said, and got more aggressive the more she tried to resist.
Per the arrest form, R pulled over onto the shoulder of SR 826, just east of LeJune Road, removed his pants and exposed himself to the victim before forcing her to touch him and perform oral sex, after which he cleaned himself off with a towel and took her to the drop-off location.
The victim reported the incident to authorities, who said they were able to locate R and take him into custody.
FHP said R told them the victim appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, though the investigating officer said the victim did not exhibit any signs of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
R is facing multiple charges, including a felony charge for sexual battery and misdemeanors for battery and indecent exposure.
