Fiery wrong-way crash on State Road 80 in Loxahatchee kills three

A wrong-way crash on State Road 80 in Loxahatchee Sunday night killed three, including a Michigan woman and her passenger from Cape Coral.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, at 10:57 p.m. on Sunday, a truck driven by an unidentified driver went the wrong way from Arden Lake Way onto westbound State Road 80 in Loxahatchee.

It crashed head-on into a Chevy Equinox driven by 51-year-old Sasha Treadway of Michigan, with 37-year-old Kristara Lasalle-Corujo of Cape Coral in the passenger seat.

Treadway’s vehicle subsequently propelled across the roadway, crossing the path of the Ford Bronco Sport, according to the crash report.

The truck came to a final rest on its side before deputies say it burst into flames.

All three occupants—the truck driver, Treadway, and Lasalle-Corujo—died from their injuries, authorities said.
