Bay County Fire Rescue officials are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged at least 3 condominium units Monday evening.

The first happened at the Gulf Crest Condominiums located on Surf Drive, just south of Thomas Drive. It began between 6:00 and 6:30 Monday evening.

The fire appears to have damaged the corner units on the southeast side of the building overlooking the gulf. The units on the 13th, 14th, and 15th floors all appear to have suffered some damage.

We don’t know if smoke or water damaged any of the other condos in the building. We do not believe anyone was hurt during the fire, but authorities have not confirmed that information.

They have yet to say what started the fire, or, again, how much damage it caused.
