Fire breaks out at Lee County house, homeowner just bought property

A fire broke out at a Fort Myers home on Sunday. According to the fire department, the homeowner just bought the property early this week.

The Fort Myers Fire Department and Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District responded to a two-story structure fire.

Crews say the fire started in the kitchen, and when they arrived, they found flames and heavy smoke.

The flames were quickly put out, and no one was found inside the home.
