Fire breaks out at Sears in Brandon mall: Hillsborough County Fire Rescue

Fire broke out at a mall in Brandon on Saturday evening.

According to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, they received multiple 911 calls around 5:17 p.m. regarding a fire in Brandon Town Center Mall.

On the scene they determined that the flames originated from a Sears store located inside the mall.

Shortly after entering the building, rescuers said that the roof of the structure partially collapsed forcing them to take a more defensive approach.

It took HCFR around 40 minutes to get the fire under control.

No injuries have been reported.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
