A massive fire erupted in the Shadow Wood Community near Oakwilde Boulevard in Estero.
According to Estero Fire Rescue, crews responded to the commercial structure fire at approximately 6 p.m. Heavy fire and a plume of smoke were seen coming from a maintenance building in the community.
The large flames prompted fire crews from Bonita Springs, San Carlos Park, Iona-McGregor, and Bayshore to help Estero Fire Rescue.
According to fire officials, despite the damage to parts of the building, firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and save a lot of the contents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Estero Fire officials said no one was injured in the fire.
