Fire rescue crews responded to a blaze inside an apartment building in Hollywood on Monday.
Firefighters arrived at the scene near Ocean Drive and Jefferson Street shortly before 6 p.m.
According to officials, the fire started in the kitchen of a unit on the ninth floor.
Residents were ordered to evacuate the building and two people were treated for smoke inhalation. One person was taken to the hospital for additional treatment.
An investigation is ongoing into what may have sparked the fire.
