Multiple units from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) launched an attack on an attic fire in Lake Clark Shores on Monday.

Fire Rescue said a total of 10 of its units responded to the scene to fight the fire, with the first engine responding to the scene in less than five minutes after receiving the 911 call.

Battling the blaze, fire crews had to cut a ventilation hole in the roof to allow the flames, heat, and toxic gases to escape the attic space and house. The battle also caused several power lines to go down on one side of the house.

PBCFR said everyone inside the house made it out without being injured, and Florida Power and Light (FPL) was able to restore power.

Fire crews have been on the scene conducting a cause and origin analysis.
