Fire destroys home on Anna Maria Island

A fire broke out shortly after 3p.m. Sunday destroying a home.

It happened on Oak Ave., just off Peacock Road.

According to firefighters on scene the home is a complete loss.

No one was inside and no injuries were reported. This just days after Hurricane Helene flooded the Island community.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
