Marion County Fire Rescue crews battled a mobile home fire on Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters say multiple people called 911, reporting an explosion and a mobile home fire on Northeast 170th Court in Silver Springs.

Crews arrived just before 3:30 p.m. to find a single-wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters immediately used hoses to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes and vegetation.

Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters say the sounds of explosions were likely caused by aerosol cans. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
