Fire destroys trailer home in Naples as investigators search for cause

A fire late Sunday night destroyed a trailer home on Hibiscus Lane in Naples.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed receiving a call about the fire around 10 p.m. Sunday. Deputies said they do not yet know how the fire started or whether anyone was inside the trailer at the time.

Crime scene units were seen at the site alongside firefighters as investigations continued.

Gulf Coast News reporter Jackie Guenther, who is at the scene, reported a very strong smell of smoke, while also noting that the mobile home is completely charred and is now just the shell of a home.
