Tampa Fire Rescue is investigating a house fire after a home in Tampa was engulfed in flames Wednesday night.

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on the 2700 block of West Bay Avenue around 11:36 p.m.

Crews arrived and found the back and the roof of the two-story home engulfed in flames, TFR said.

Firefighters attempted to go inside to fight the fire but had to evacuate as the fire conditions began deteriorating.

According to TFR, crews began to extinguish the fire using several hose lines and an aerial ladder.

A search was conducted and no occupants were located inside the home. The fire was under control within 45 minutes of crews arriving.
