Firefighters respond to attic fire in Pensacola

A fire broke out at a home in Pensacola on Monday morning, according to Escambia County Fire Rescue.

The fire took place at the 7300 block of Community Drive near Cycle Drive around 6a.m.

Once on scene, crews discovered a heavy fire through the attic.

One patient has been transported to a local hospital by EMS and another refused transport,according to Escambia County Fire Rescue.

The State Fire Marshal has been notified, and the Red Cross is assisting with two adults. This is still an active fire with no cause determined yet.
