Body camera video shows deputies rescuing seven people after a boat crashed onto rocks outside the St. Lucie Inlet on July 4.

The Fourth of July holiday could have ended much differently for seven boaters after they were stranded on a damaged boat, but deputies arrived to pull them to safety.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission located the stranded vessel.

Video shows deputies throwing a life ring toward the boat, pulling one boater to safety at a time.

MCSO said all of the boat’s occupants were rescued, accounted for and transported back to Sandsprit Park without injury.
