Florida Highway Patrol: 1 dead, another injured in Okaloosa County crash

A 28-year-old Alabama woman was killed in a two-vehicle, head-on collision Thursday in Okaloosa County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened shortly before 7 p.m. in the area of State Road 189, or Galliver Cutoff, and Stanley Lane.

The woman, from Red Level, Ala., was driving an SUV, the FHP said. The other driver, a 58-year-old man from Holt, Fla., was in a pickup truck and suffered minor injuries, officials said.

This crash is still being investigated by FHP Traffic Homicide Unit.
