Florida Highway Patrol investigating deadly crash in Ocala

A 55-year-old woman from Ocala is dead after being hit by 2 vehicles early Thursday morning.

According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, two vehicles were traveling south on US Highway 441 at 5:30 a.m.

The 55-year-old woman was walking in the southbound lane on US 441 when one of the drivers hit the woman.

The 2nd driver did not see the woman in the roadway and also hit her.

Marion County Fire Rescue says the woman died at the scene.

FHP is investigating the crash.
