An 18-year-old Georgia woman was killed and five others were injured late on Thanksgiving Day when their SUV was struck by another vehicle in a DUI crash in Osceola County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal three-vehicle wreck happened around 11:40 p.m. on State Road 538 at Sereno Drive.
The FHP said a 44-year-old Davenport man was driving a 2004 Acura MDX west on S.R. 538 and struck the back of a 2025 Hyundai Tucson that was stopped ahead of him.
The crash caused the Hyundai to overturn and collide with a 2015 Ford F-150 that was in front of it, according to an FHP crash report.
The Davenport man, EE, who suffered minor injuries, was arrested on a charge of DUI manslaughter and was booked into the Osceola County Jail, the FHP said.
The 18-year-old, a passenger in the Hyundai, was pronounced dead at Osceola Regional Medical Center, according to the FHP, which said her driver, a 34-year-old Kissimmee woman, and four other passengers suffered serious injuries.
