One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday in Beltrami County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Blanca Estela Mendoza, (36) of Bemidji was injured when the 2019 Toyota Rav4 she was driving collided with a 2004 Volkswagen driven by Ian Michael Bungart, (31) of Deland, Florida. The Volkswagen was westbound on Lakewood Drive. Toyota was northbound on Irvine Avenue in Northern Township.
Mendoza was taken to Bemidji ER and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. Bungart suffered no apparent injury.
Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident reported just before 8am.
