Florida McDonald’s Employee Charged After Grabbing Woman’s Cell Phone In Drive-Thru Line

A19-year-old Florida woman, working a McDonald’s drive-thru window, was arrested Saturday for grabbing another woman’s cell phone.

According to deputies, Emmonie LaShawn King, 19, was charged with burglary with battery and robbery by sudden snatching.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to McDonald’s near Mile Marker 100 in Key Largo at approximately 11 p.m.

King, an employee, became upset with three drive-thru customers.

Deputies say King reached into the vehicle, grabbing the victim’s phone out of her hand while she was recording.

That victim and another person in the car suffered minor scratches to their hands. The incident was captured by the cell phone.

King was booked into the Monroe County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
