Former youth baseball trainer arrested on multiple sexual battery charges in Jacksonville.

A former youth baseball trainer was arrested and is accused of multiple counts of sexual battery and lewd or lascivious molestation in Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

In Duval County, JSO said in November, a victim came forward saying Julio Acosta Morgado, 38, sexually battered him several times, and forced him to commit sex acts.

The detective then said they spoke with a separate victim, also in November, who told them Acosta Morgado fondled him during their training session in late 2020.

The arrest report indicates both victims told detectives their training sessions with him ended with a massage.

On Thursday, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies put out a release to local media saying they were alerted by JSO that Acosta Morgado may have done the same thing in Orange County.

Now, the sheriff’s office there said it’s expecting to file charges very similar to the ones he’s facing here in Jacksonville.

Orange County deputies confirm Acosta Morgado, who often went by “JC,” lived in the Windermere area from 2015 to 2019.

According to the arrest report, Acosta Morgado’s current address is in Jacksonville.

Deputies also said Acosta “might have a business” called JC Acosta Sports. However, there’s no indication he had a legitimate business registered with the state.

Acosta Morgado is being held without bond at the Duval County jail. He is due back in court in late February.

Detectives are concerned other victims are out there who have not come forward. They are urged to reach out to detectives.
