Fort Myers man killed in crash near Coconut Point in Estero

A Fort Myers man, 34, was killed during a two-car crash in Estero on Jan. 27.

The crash happened at 10:37 p.m. at Via Coconut Point near Via Sicilia Way.

Both drivers were traveling north on Via Coconut Point. One collided with the left side of the 34-year-old man’s sedan while trying to change lanes.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the other driver, a 30-year-old Fort Myers man, was not injured.

FHP is still investigating this crash.
