A large two-story wood-frame home burst into flames in Fort Pierce on Tuesday morning.

The St. Lucie County Fire District (SLCFD) stated that firefighters responded to the home near 1500 Pulitzer Road at around 4:46 a.m. only to find the home engulfed in flames.

Firefighters had to use nearby ponds on the property to put out the fire due to a lack of fire hydrants nearby.

According to SLCFD, four engines, two rescues, one quint, three tankers, two safety officers, one BC, and one DC, were all used to help put out the flames.

There were no injuries reported, however, the fire remains under investigation.
