A Fountain man is in critical condition after a crash on Blue Springs Road on Monday morning.
Florida Highway Patrol says a 46-year-old Fountain man in a pickup truck was traveling north on Blue Springs Road, north of Gainer Road, while a 70-year-old Georgia man in a van was traveling south on Blue Springs Road.
When approaching Gainer Road, the Fountain man failed to turn left, leaving the roadway, onto the east shoulder, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities say the man overcorrected, causing the pickup truck to spin counterclockwise back across the roadway and in the way of the van.
The van driver rotated the vehicle clockwise.
The Georgia man is facing minor injuries while the Fountain resident is in critical condition, authorities say.
