A touring helicopter crashed on the runway at a Destin airport Thursday evening.

The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. at Destin Executive Airport, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says four people were onboard the helicopter. They were transported for non-life-threatening injuries.

“We are grateful there were no serious injuries and thank all responding agencies for their quick and coordinated efforts,” the sheriff’s office said.

The OCSO Airport Security Unit is investigating the crash.
