CALHOUN COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – A house was fully engulfed in the early morning hours in Calhoun County, resulting in a total loss.
According to the NettleRidge Fire Department, they were alerted just before 1:00 a.m. for a house fire off State Road 69.
NettleRidge says the Blountstown Fire Department arrived quickly and knocked down the fire before they arrived.
Officials say everyone got out safely.
The Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office has taken over as they investigate the cause of the fire.
Multiple units were on scene, including Blountstown Fire Department, Blountstown Police Department, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Nettle Ridge VFD, Magnolia VFD, West Florida Electric, and the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office.
