Officers arrested a man in Gainesville, accused of stabbing his roommate in the neck during a drunken brawl.
Gainesville Police Department officers arrested CG II, 35, on Sunday.
According to the arrest report, G and his roommate were drinking when he got angry and attacked the victim, who fought back.
The victim says he attempted to leave the house to go to a neighbor’s home when G came up from behind and stabbed him in the neck. He then started punching the victim on the ground.
A witness reportedly heard G say, “I’m going to kill you,” as he attacked the victim.
When officers arrived at the home on Southwest 26th Terrace, G was standing over the victim, both covered in blood.
He was arrested on the charge of aggravated battery and booked into the Alachua County Jail with no bond set as of this report.
