Gainesville Police Department responded to a shooting early Saturday morning.
When officers arrived at 50 SW 1st Street around 2:30 a.m. they found a 17-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot to the thigh.
Officers were able to provide aid until Alachua County Fire Rescue arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital.
No additional victims have been located.
The investigation is still ongoing.
