A 77-year-old Gainesville woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a vehicle on SW 75th Street (Tower Road) on Thursday morning.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the woman was crossing the road just north of SW 75th Court when she was struck by a 47-year-old Gainesville woman driving a Ford Fiesta north on SW 75th Street at 8:10 a.m.
Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a local hospital.
